Stamp & Go perform Shanties and Songs of the Sea
This very popular group from Perranporth makes a welcome third visit to that great singing venue, The Centre, Newlyn.
With their rumbustuous shanties and haunting songs of life and loss at sea, the Stamp & Go singers have swiftly established themselves as a thrilling and "must see" event in the real fishing port of Newlyn. The group writes their own material as well as restoring shanties to our musical heritage.
Stamp & Go have become regular visitors to festivals in the South West and as far away as the Orkneys! Listeners praise not only the content of their songs but the sheer musicality of their delivery.
Backed-up by short selections of sea poetry from local poets, this is a fabulous evening for everyone with a love of the sea!
