Claudia Hoffmann

Claudia Hoffmann is a violinist with a concert degree (The Hague/ Netherlands) and a violin instruction diploma (Freiburg, Germany). Further studies took her to Straßbourg (France) and Basel (Switzerland). Specialised in period instruments she regularly performs, mainly with her own baroque ensemble - La Moresca - in Germany, Switzerland and the UK. She is also a trained music therapist (with “Life-Musik”, Munich/ Germany). In addition she improvises in various Folk and crossover styles, performing improvised music on Celitc harp, violin, voice, percussion, monochord for intuitive dance as well as having a duo with the writer Angela Stoner: "The Blue Mermaids", performing music and poetry. Claudia also teaches violin: classical repertoire, baroque, Klezmer, Improvisation Claudia has lived mainly in Germany for the last three years after having been here in Cornwall for 4 years - and is just moving back to Cornwall now
