An enchanting evening of English and Scottish symphonies dances concertos and popular songs – by the celebrated masters William Herschel, John Mahon, James Hook, Samuel Arnold, James Brooks and Thomas Erskine Lord Kelly. To be held at:-

We have some popular songs from the period, a dazzling Violin Concerto played by Martin White, a symphony by the Astronomer Royal Sir William Herschel, another by the Scottish Lord Kelly, a beautiful Clarinet concerto played by Katherine Davies, a lively piano concerto by James Hook (director of music at Vauxhall Gardens) plus Arnold’s dances from David Garrick’s revival of ‘Macbeth’.

The James Hook Players: soloists Martin White (violin), Katherine Davies (clarinet), Lucy Clitherow (soprano) and Russell Blacker (fortepiano).
