BEN HUTCHESON & AL O’KANE

Ben Hutcheson

Ben is an emerging Folk Rock artist from South West England. He bridges the storytelling gap between Passenger, Ed Sheeran and Tim McGraw making him an act to look for in the near future. Starting out from humble beginnings in Bristol, Ben has become a growingly aware and prominent artist to look out for. His music career started as a young teenager and since then has gone on to play all around the South West of England. He resides in Bath where he is currently studying Commercial Music at Bath Spa University. He is preparing his 2nd EP and also a tour for the summer of 2018. Ben lists many influences that span through many genres and eras, but he notes a few extremely influential artists ranging from AC/DC, Kenny Chesney, Brother and Bones, Passenger, Guns N’ Roses, Ed Sheeran, The Script and more.

“His lyrics tackle universal themes such as love and loss, yet also weave captivating stories, with a contemporary feel. With a warm, rich voice he expresses emotion and authenticity and makes a genuine connection with his audience.” – Julianne Regan (All About Eve)

Al O’Kane

“Folding Jimi Hendrix into the sound of Celtic resistance rock n’ roll. Part Waterboys, part Velvet Underground, Al’s music is a cry for action nestled into a fiery acoustic blend” – Davey Ray Moor. Having played Glastonbury Festival and numerous gigs alongside the likes of Ben Ottewell, Martha Tilston, Kevin Ayers, Cara Dillon, Nick Harper and Seth Lakeman – he is “set for BIG things – beautiful and catchy songs” – BBC Somerset

“His high energy performance was fantastic and his soulful tunes are a pleasure to listen to. Al really believes in his songs, and to see that on stage is very special!” UNDERGROUND SOUNDS
